Qiwamah and Marital Responsibilities
Rights and responsibilities within family life.
Psychological and Family Practitioner, Relationship Consultant, Master's Researcher in Counseling Psychology, and Founder of iConsult
My professional path brings together experience in people management and training, long-standing work in family and relationship counseling, and academic study in mental health—offering psychologically informed support grounded in Islamic principles and translated into realistic steps.
I do not treat a problem as an isolated behaviour to be fixed with quick advice. I look at what shaped it and what keeps it in place, then turn understanding into practical steps. My approach integrates contemporary psychological knowledge with disciplined Islamic grounding that respects values, rights, responsibilities, and context—so change protects the person and strengthens the family.
My work includes individual mental health and personal concerns alongside marriage and family relationships within Arab and Muslim contexts, with attention to psychological history, family roles, values, migration, and cultural difference.
Television conversations on family life, values, and psychological and social awareness.
Rights and responsibilities within family life.
A values-based discussion of the place of niqabi women in public life.
Protecting values from inaccurate religious attribution.
I do not separate psychological knowledge from a person's identity, nor reduce Islamic grounding to advice detached from the details of a case. Professional practice, for me, is a disciplined integration of understanding, evidence, values, and application.
I do not reduce people to a diagnosis or behaviour; I consider history, relationships, needs, and strengths.
I use psychological theories and techniques to explain the case and serve reviewable goals—not to display terminology.
Islamic principles frame responsibility, justice, compassion, rights, and duties; they are not texts added outside the case context.
I do not side with men or women; I view the relationship as a system and protect dignity and stability without excusing harm.
I turn understanding into tasks, tools, and clear between-session steps, then review outcomes and adjust direction.
My professional experience began in human resources and organisational work, then training and human development, before deepening into psychological, family, and relationship counseling. This range taught me that a problem cannot be understood outside its system: a person's motives, roles, relationships, boundaries, and the environment that reinforces or obstructs change.
Ongoing academic study and structured case understanding that connects thought, emotion, behaviour, and context.
Professional practice since 2015 addressing conflict patterns, attachment, boundaries, communication, and family stability.
Turning knowledge into programmes, books, and worksheets that support application beyond the session.
